## Where

Dozens of gear shops line the streets of Thamel. Quality varies. Look for shops that:

– Show clear rental prices
– Clean and sanitise gear between rentals
– Offer hotel delivery
– Have a refundable deposit system
– Provide a rental contract

## When

Reserve **3–5 days before** your trek, especially in peak season (March–May, September–November). Same-day rental is possible but popular items (down jackets, sleeping bags) can sell out.

3. Try gear on at delivery — check size and condition
4. Pay rental + refundable deposit
